So it begins again. The planning stage has begun and I have some great plans for next year. With o9ne of the cars being stored over the winter at my parent's house I have room to work at night. (Once I get the garage cleaned up and organized.)

Well what can i say The KY Horse Park Haunted Campout is a great event. Thanks to everyone who put it together and decorated. It was really fun and I can't wait till next year. We have already started our planning for the event and hope to out do ourselves next year. We did what we wanted to to this year and got first place in the campsite decorating contest. At the Ky Horse park Campout, I placed 2nd (was beat by a store bought hulk hogan costume.), Xander was second as well (beat by an astronaut.) Unfortunatly the girls did not win at all. MeeMaw won third for her "Frankie's Girl" costume.

Greeting! Well in fear of people not quite knowing what we are this year I created these neat little cards to give out to help people understand. What can I say late night on the laptops will get you these kinds of things.
Added a new tutorial of something very easy to make. A pipe insulation chain. Pretty cool, cheap and lightweight.
]]>Here is a little prop update for this year. This is a casket Pap built for this year. Looking good! It is made with various wood and plywood for the base. The inside is painted white and pvc was used for the palbearers handle. X-mase ligfhts were used to light the inside of the casket. The casket user is a costume stuffed to fill it out. Shouldn't be any quesiton on who is going to win the contest this year. (Click on Images to make them large.)

After a LOT of sewing, seam ripping and sewing some more, I have all but one costume done for this year. Unfortunately, the costume for Kristi did not work out as well as i had hoped. I do not know where the meltdown was but it did not turn out correctly. I am 0 for 2 when it comes to making her costumes. I think that the problem is that I need to not go by patterns and their measurements and start making my own by sloping and such. All the other costumes look good, though it will be interesting to see how the "judging" happens at the Horse Park this year. I wonder how many people will know what we are. Pics and updates on the costumes to come real soon. ]]>
Well All Hallows Eve is coming upon us. There are very few weekends left before the time for Trick-or-Treators and all the ghouls and goblins. It has been fairly dunting task but I have 95% of mine and Xander's costumes completed. All that is left is to pretty up our weapons and dirty up our costumes. As far as the girl's costumes, I have AnnaMarie's costume started and have "Witchy Poo's" all cut out. I should be able to knock out the costume's in a weekend.
I hope to have pictures up in the next few days once I have them completed. Once they are done we are hoping to go to a professional photo shoot and have our pictures taken together.

Well here it is, this is my son's costume for this year. A Tusken Raider. Everything is hand made from the mask to the bandolier. I used things like pvc pipe, cigarette boxes filled with spray foam to make them not collapse, markers, and electrical twist connectors. Stay tuned for instruction on what I used and how I created each piece. The only things left to complete are the hands and all I need for that are some glvoes that I cannot seem to find. Also we will dirty up the robes by tea dying, using pastel chalk, and some rit dye thrown on it for a "dried blood splatter" effect. Some pieces are simple like the boot while others are a little harder. Enjoy!
