Securing Your Tombstones from the Big Bad Wolf.

If you buy or make foam tombstones, one the biggest enemies to their welfare is the wind. I can't tell yout eh number of times I have had the wind take out a set of tombstones before I could react. Well here is a little trick that I do now that helps keep the tombstones in place.

Materials:

• Tombstones.
• PVC Pipe - I use 1/2"
• Hacksaw (or somethign to cut the pipe with
• Glue (I prefer Loctite Power Grab and I will explain why later.)
• Wodden Dowel (just small enough to fit in the pvc pipe.) 

Instructions:

1. The first thing that needs to be done is to get rid of the crappy wire holders from the bottoms of the tombstone. These are easy to get rid of jsut pull them out.  

2. Now that those are gone, you can measure the tombstone for your pvc pipe.

3. Cut the pipe to the dimensions you need for the tombstone.

4. Once you have the pipe cut, put a bead of glue along the length of the pipe and attach it to tombstone. I like to use locktite since it seems to set pretty quickly and does not seem to melt the foam.

5.Once the glue has time to set, you can then install the tombstone in your grave yard. What i like to use is a wooden dowel pounded in to the ground and insert the pipe over top of the dowel.

6.Now set back and enjoy your tombstones without fearing the huff and the puff of the big bad wolf.
